The Supervisors meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM ET at the Texas Township Municipal Building.
The township office is open Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Texas Township is served by the Wayne Highlands School District.

Fire protection is provided by two volunteer fire companies: the White Mills Fire Department (serving since 1910) and the Seelyville Fire Company (serving since 1904). Police services are provided by the Pennsylvania State Police, Honesdale Barracks. For emergencies, always dial 911.

The Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary is a nearly 600-acre nature preserve located in the White Mills area of Texas Township. It features approximately 5 miles of walking trails, meadows, ponds, and a museum housing one of the nation's largest collections of Dorflinger glass.
